i got these little dear deer at a church rummage sale.  t.j. thinks they are freaky, but i love them.  so happy.  perfect for holding matches in the bathroom. 

do you get it? i know you said to do a self portrait, and i'll work on that one, but consider this a portrait of us!

here's the first rose from my rose bushes...they're kind of amazing, because i do nothing to help them grow or look so beautiful...they do this all on their own. because really, if it were all up to me, i'm pretty sure those roses would be dead by now...i don't quite have the green thumb i'd like to, but maybe some day.
